Ok, it’s way past when you thought the blog was dead. I’ll give you that. But it’s slowly coming back to life after almost 5 months of silence. Don’t get too excited yet. I’m fighting a dying computer and lack of knowledge on how to post pictures so it may be a little primitive until Brett has time to teach me (again) how to work this thing! So, yeah, this is Nicole by the way.

As a quick update, our little Hunter is almost 5 months old now! Woah! He’s so amazing and we are so blessed to be his parents. His latest tricks include the most adorable coos and squeals ever, and rolling all over the place!

We also just moved into a beautiful condo in Altamonte Springs, are are loving it! It’s a place we hope to call home for several years, so it’s exciting for us since we have moved 5 times in our almost 3 years of marriage, and are SO done with moving for a while.

Please forgive the lame post. If I can get a picture to work, it will all be worth it…. let’s see here…

Hunter - 4mo Success!!! Lucky for  me Brett was still home this morning and walked me through the picture re-sizing again. I think I have it this time.

This is Hunter with his best buddy, Sock Monkey, at 4 months old. We are taking a picture of him every month for the first year with his monkey to see how he has grown and changed! Borrowed this idea from Lindsay Stowers, and it has been super fun so far! I’ll post the progression in a few months.

Off to get some things done while Hunter naps this morning. How do you end a blog post? I don’t know, maybe I should actually read some to find out. Well, for now I’ll just say have a great weekend, everyone!

Our blog has been severely neglected. Considering I have contributed .01% of the content thus far, I figure it’s about time I start pulling my weight! Well, my pre-pregnancy weight. I definitely do not want to commit to anything that includes these extra 40+ pounds! ha! ok that’s not even funny.

Speaking of…. we are waiting on this baby, and I am waiting rather impatiently! I am 39 weeks and 3 days, which means Hunter is due to make his appearance THIS Saturday! As close as that is, I thought for sure he would be here by now. We are supposedly dealing with a 9+ pounder, and with that knowledge I hoped he would have mercy on me and come early. If the doctors and clothes manufacturers are right, he won’t be able to fit into any of his adorable newborn outfits. SO sad!! I hope for my sake we can squeeze him in at least for some pictures… great mom, huh? :)

Today is 3-2-10, such a great birthday, but unless this little one really busts out, I think we’ve missed the boat.

    35 weeks pregnant

Don’t let this photo fool you, it was taken at 35 weeks. Such a long time ago! I WISH I still looked like that. I’ll suck it up and post a 39+ week photo soon. I’m really just testing the waters with this blogging thing, so I thought I’d spare you all extreme shock during my second blog post ever. Kidding.

We are so appreciative of all the prayers and hopes along with us that Hunter shows up soon! We will keep everyone posted when he arrives.

Nicole and I have been keeping a secret for some time now. We can’t hold it in any longer…

We’re having a baby! And this morning we found out that we are having a son! So far, he and Nicole are both as healthy as can be. Rejoice with us in our answered prayer and precious gift. See what God has done!

Below are some of the ultrasound photos we have of our baby boy so far. The first four are at 13 weeks. The last five are at 19 weeks. (Click on the photos to see them larger)

We could not be more excited for the arrival of our son!

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” – Psalm 127:3

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!” Psalm 139:13-17

“Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways! You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.” – Psalm 128:1-2

My brother, Scott, flies out to Scottsdale, AZ tomorrow to begin his new job with Brown & Brown. I couldn’t be more proud of him.

Scott is a man who loves and fears the Lord. His faith is solid. God used my brother to bring me to a knowledge of Him. As a blessing, God is allowing him to “eat the fruit of the labor of his hands.”

As a man of unique wisdom (for his age), I have always benefitted from the counsel of my brother. As a man of deep character, I have always had a close example of what it looks like to honor God with my actions. As a man of integrity, I have always been encouraged by him to hold onto my principles, and not be swayed by the world’s whispers. As a selfless man, I have had a visual example of what it looks like for a husband to lay his life down for his wife (bear with me Nicole). He has blessed my life in more ways than I can count.

Congratulations, Scott. You deserve it (even though you’ll say you don’t) and I’m really proud of you.

    Enjoy Phoenix!

    Jesse

    Posted in: Family, Personal

    August 17th.

Today we were supposed to give birth to a baby boy or baby girl. We had imagined that we would hold our baby in our arms for the first time today. We anticipated who he or she would look like. But today was very different than we had imagined back in January. Today, we do not hold our baby in our arms, but rather Jesus does. Yes, we miss our baby. We would have loved to have shared laughs, tears, joys, and sorrows with Jesse. But we know that God works all things together for our good. And so we “praise God from whom all blessings flow.” Today, it is well with our soul. Today, we trust in the Lord, and lean not on our own understanding. He gives, and he takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. God gave us a gift, and he took our gift from us for our good. O how sweet the grace that was poured out on the cross for our baby Jesse. And how great it must be for our Jesse to see in full what we only see in part. We have eyes of faith, Jesse has eyes of sight.

O the privilege you have, Jesse, of rising before us; of seeing Jesus face to face. But we miss you everyday. We can’t wait to meet you in Heaven, and greet you with a holy kiss. Love, Dad and Mom.

    Nicole is here!

    Posted in: Family

Ok. I have officially entered the world of blogging. You will now be able to hear from both members of the Bradley household. Get excited.

Just came from a great growth group dinner where we stuffed ourselves with venison burgers, sides, apple pie, etc., etc…. basically I’m in a food coma. We also played a fun game called Buzz Words. Unfortunately, the ladies lost, but we demand a re-match!

Well, nothing too exciting in this post, except that now that I can blog I am charging myself with bringing you the lighter side, family news, random stuff, and giving it a female perspective from time to time!

    Thanks for reading!
